Cheryl Barsten

About Me:

My name is Cheryl. I started my career in early childhood education as an aide in a family childcare. Since then I’ve worked as a substitute, an assistant teacher, and a lead teacher. Most recently I owned and operated a family childcare.

With more than eight years of experience in the field of early childhood education I’ve worked in and learned from several child development facilities in the twin cities area. In 2014 I received my Degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology. I completed my Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Education in 2015.

Working with children and families is my life long passion, not just a career. During my experience as a teacher, child care business owner and childcare provider I’ve discovered how important it is for everyone involved in a child’s life to be a part of a supportive community that includes families, teachers and the surrounding neighborhood. That is why I'm dedicated to creating a supportive community environment and experiences for children and families.
